CHANEL LE CRAYON LÈVRES Longwear Lip Pencil in Pivoine: The Best Nude Lipliner
A cult classic's quiet rival, and the trick to actually getting your hands on it!

Pillow Talk may be the fan favorite, but I personally believe Chanel's lipliner in Pivoine is the best nude lipliner on the market. While Pillow Talk can sometimes lean a bit too muddy or orange depending on the lighting, Pivoine is the perfect, true-to-life rose nude that defines the lips without looking like you've overdrawn them. It's the kind of shade that enhances your natural lip color instead of fighting against it.
The formula is creamy enough to glide on without tugging, but it has a long-wear finish that actually survives my daily freddo cappuccinos—which is basically the ultimate stress test for any lip product. If you're tired of the overhyped cult favorites and want a liner that actually looks like your lips but better, this is the one to invest in.
The built-in brush on the end also makes it so easy to blend for diffused edges. Instead of needing a separate lip brush to soften the line, you get that perfectly blurred, your-lips-but-better finish right out of the packaging.
Fair warning: this color sells out very frequently on Chanel's website, so securing a restock can take some patience. I've lucked out the past few years, but I've genuinely had the best luck finding it in stock through Macy's online store when Chanel and Bloomingdale’s sites are sold out.
If you've been on the fence about trying a Chanel lipliner, Pivoine is the shade to start with!
