I recently got this Sisley tinted balm at the Cos Bar in Aspen—easily the most beautiful Cos Bar location I've ever visited, with seriously the kindest beauty advisors. If you've never been, it's worth the trip just for the experience alone, let alone the product I walked out with!
As a long-time loyal Sisley customer, I wasn't exactly surprised that I fell in love with another one of their products. Sisley has built a reputation over the years for skincare-forward makeup; products that don't just sit on top of skin or lips, but actually treat them while delivering color. And so, it made perfect sense that this tinted balm would end up being another favorite!
That said, it took quite a few swatches around the store to land on my version of the perfect nude shade. Sisley's Phyto-Lip Twist line comes in a wide range of nudes and berries, and nude shades in particular can be deceptively tricky—too warm and it looks orange, too cool and it looks washed out, too light and it disappears entirely. After going through several options, Rosy Nude (24) is the one that got it exactly right.
The packaging is stunning, of course. Sisley never misses on that front, and this component alone looks more like a chic statement piece sitting on your vanity than a drugstore lip product. But the formula itself is what actually sold me. It's the perfect hybrid: a tinted balm that delivers both rich, buildable color and deep moisture, instead of forcing you to choose between a pigmented product that dries out your lips or a moisturizing balm that barely shows any color at all.
The twist-up bullet format also makes it incredibly easy to apply—no lip brush needed, no fumbling with a compact. You can build it up for more pigment or keep it sheer for a your-lips-but-better look, depending on your mood or the look of the day.
Tinted balms in general have become one of the most searched-for lip categories over the past year, and it's easy to see why. They fit the current shift towards "your lips but better" makeup—less obvious, less high-maintenance, more skincare-adjacent. A great nude tinted balm needs to disappear into your natural lip color while still adding just enough definition and moisture to look intentional, and that's a much harder balance to strike than it sounds.
The Sisley tinted balm has quickly become my #1 daily staple in my bag. It truly works literally any time of day—low-maintenance mornings, dressed-up nights, and anywhere in between. I toss it in with my everyday essentials and reach for it more than almost anything else in my makeup bag at this point. I’m also obsessed with the zebra print packaging!
If you've been searching for a nude tinted balm that gives you color and comfort without compromise, Rosy Nude is exactly what you've been missing.
